Buster Elrod
Buster has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, ranging from operational management to executive leadership. He has focused on servicing Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, small group, and individual populations for health plans. Buster’s achievements have included operational optimizations, cost reductions, quality improvements, IT efficiencies, and health plan satisfaction improvement. He has expertise in business process re-engineering and improvement, strategic planning, health plan operations, program/project management, system selection, procurement and implementation, and regulatory requirements.
Experience
- Migrated legacy core system to TriZetto’s RIMS system and led data integration for member enrollment to a common data format for more than 350 client payroll/benefit systems as COO of a 200,000-member health plan
- Managed the assessment, development, and implementation of three disaster recovery plans
- As technical and business expert, managed the team that developed ECI’s Customer Service Module (CSM)
- Provided health plans with executive leadership in technical areas required to implement new product offerings and additional lines of business
