First-ever Payer IT Consulting assessment report awards Change Healthcare overall score of 94.6, the highest among 11 firms studied
KLAS Research has released its 2019 Payer IT Consulting report, which rated Change Healthcare number one among 11 payer IT consulting firms studied when considering the firms’ service offerings, performance, and delivery. The report also includes an assessment of each organization’s expertise and adaptability to customer needs.
KLAS evaluated the payer IT consulting performance across 11 validated engagement types including Strategy, Assessment and Planning, Implementation Services, Care Management/Population Health Management, and more. In the end, Change Healthcare received the highest overall score among all firms studied. The report also examined client satisfaction vs. adaptability to needs, and rated Change Healthcare in the highest quadrant. Perhaps most important, when rating payer IT consulting firms on value and executive involvement, Change Healthcare also rated in the highest quadrant.
“We are honored by this recognition,” said David Gallegos, senior vice president, Consulting Services, Change Healthcare. “We listen to our customers, work to understand their unique business dynamics, and tailor our methodologies to help them reach their business objectives. We’ve long believed that an agile, collaborative approach is needed to deliver results in a variety of complex engagements with health plans of all sizes. This latest KLAS report is a validation of that approach.”
KLAS reports that demand for payer IT consulting services is rising in response to changing market regulations and the need for improved efficiency, accurate software, and ways to navigate the complex market environment. The inaugural report finds that, at a high level, healthcare-specific firms such as Change Healthcare are delivering more guidance and flexibility than cross-industry firms, though there are exceptions to this trend.
Change Healthcare offers cross-functional, collaborative consulting services for payers and providers who need to focus on healthcare transformation, including process redesign, system modernization, clinical transformation, and compliance support.
